PRESENTERS

Jamie Owen
Jamie Owen anchors CGTN Europe. He is a television news journalist with 30 years’ experience.
He joined CGTN from TRT World, where he anchored international television news.
Before that, he worked at the BBC reading the news on the main radio bulletins before moving to television to anchor the flagship BBC Wales Today show.
He has worked internationally for BBC World Service Trust and BBC Media Action and has advised television companies in Libya, Egypt, Jordan, India and Germany.
Juliet Mann
Juliet Mann is part of CGTN’s on-air team in London. An experienced TV anchor specializing in business news, she covers stories from entrepreneurship to sustainability, from digital innovation to global economics.
For more than two decades, Juliet has worked in fast-paced newsrooms across the world – in London, Paris, New York and Frankfurt for companies including CNBC, TRT World, CNN, Sky News and Reuters.
On the road and in the studio, she has interviewed political heavyweights and those who influence the news agenda including EU policymakers and CEOs of global brands.
Paul Barber
Paul presents CGTN Europe’s ‘The World Today’ and ‘Global Business’. He previously anchored business news at the network’s American broadcast center and covered the 2016 election, the Brexit vote, and hosted ‘Africa Focus’.
Paul started out with the BBC in Liverpool and was an award-winning news presenter in Manchester before joining France 24 where he anchored coverage of the 2008 financial crisis, Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, and presented ‘The Week in Asia’. Paul then worked for the BBC World Service, AFP and FSN in London, Hong Kong, and Washington.
Stephen Cole
Stephen Cole is an internationally acclaimed television presenter.
He has helped launch four international news channels – Sky News, CNN International, BBC World and Al Jazeera – and has chaired many international events.
He also created the world’s first IT show, Click Online, taking it around the world to 28 countries in seven years.
Stephen took a break from television to return to London, where he was appointed chairman of the Institute of Diplomacy and Business. After his three-year term ended, Stephen joined CGTN as executive producer and host of new talk show, The Agenda.
As well as presiding as a judge at the Royal Television Society News Awards and the BAFTAs, he has chaired discussions at the United Nations, setting the five-year agenda for UNESCO.
